Elephant-Welcome

That’s when Jetsup Holidays steps in! Ensuring our clients have a seamless travel experience is of paramount importance to us. Here’s one such journey which was truly enriching and had every detail and aspect meticulously planned and taken care of by us.

Guest-Welcome-by-Elephant

Jetsup Team embarked on our journey towards the royal land of Jaipur in Rajasthan, most affectionately known as the ‘Pink City’. There are multiple direct flights available from various cities in India like Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, etc. to Jaipur during all times of the day as well as night.

A few of us went to some of these cities across the country to receive our guests and gave them personalized gift boxes, consisting of sling bags and small goodies. A very grand traditional welcome awaited for our clients right outside the Jaipur Airport.

Although the cold temperature set them back, their hearts were warmed by the customary Rajputana greetings they received by women dressed in traditional attire and the Darbaans holding huge scrolls. It instantly got the ‘Kesariya Balam’ tune playing in everyone’s heads. What better way than this to begin a majestic journey!Guest-Welcome-Chokhi-Dhani

Usually, the weather in Jaipur is quite cool in the evening and pleasant during the day. But lately, during the months of Dec-Jan, Jaipur has been witnessing harsher winters than before. With thick winter jackets on, our clients proceeded ahead for the day. Private transfers were arranged for all of them from the airport, and they were escorted by our team to their respective cars. As mentioned before, we look after every detail and therefore to enhance this regal experience, we had the chauffeurs wear Safas (turbans) when they showed up to pick our guests. Upon arrival at the Chokhi Dhani Ethnic Resort, once again they received a cheerful welcome with huge LED screens outside the resort, beautifully decorated elephants showering the guests with rose petals, having their foreheads anointed with Red Tikkas and then were served welcome drinks. There was also a Kachhi Ghodi dance performance at the entrance which was quite amusing to watch.

The resort was unlike any other. It was just the perfect location considering that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This 5-star resort provided a Rajasthani ambience, it had a classic blend of traditional elements and modern amenities. Our day continued with the guests taking in the spectacular views and enjoying the ethnic stay.

It felt as though one had travelled back in time and were reliving to see the old-world charm of the city. Some rested in their luxurious cottages while some explored the property and its captivating surroundings. Meanwhile, the Jetsup team was pumped up and were making all the necessary arrangements for the event of the evening.

Reward & Recognition Night:

Set against a lush green garden- the Swarna Bagh Lawn by the poolside – it all looked enchanting. The night witnessed a dip in the temperature. Our guests were comfortably seated around the lawn with outdoor patio heaters to keep them warm and cozy. The event was graced by various performances that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. A local dance group performed the traditional Ghoomar dance and some other folk dances as well. The host for the evening, Miss Angela Rebello, kept the guests engaged with her amazing sense of humour and even played some quirky games.

We also had the winners of India’s Dancing Superstar 2013, the dance group MJ5, show some of their crazy dance moves on some upbeat music that kept everyone on their toes. The brilliant illusionist Edmundo Da Cunha entertained, stunned and awed the guests with various magical acts and demonstrations. Further into the evening, after the felicitation of all the guests, they rocked and grooved to the tunes of the band- Tamasha. The band sang Bollywood songs and famous Punjabi songs and literally had set the stage on fire with their energy and high spirits. It was followed by a Gala Dinner with a sumptuous buffet spread.

TAMASHA in JAIPUR

                                                                                                         TAMASHA BAND Performance

With an eventful night the previous day, waking up early was certainly a task, especially given the weather was freezing in the morning. So, we decided to begin the day on a lighter note with a relaxed buffet breakfast for our guests. They were spoilt for choice with an array of options. Post breakfast, our team had arranged cars to take them sightseeing in Jaipur. Having stepped out, the warm rays of the sun in the cool weather felt like bliss and everyone seemed to be gladly basking in it. The two major spots that we went to were: the Amer or the Amber Fort and the Hawa Mahal.

Amer Fort:

Amer-Fort-Jaipur

Perched on top of the Aravalli hills, this fortress stands strong since the 16th century. An architectural marvel, this palace was once the abode of the Rajput Maharajas. The fort still sings the tales of heroism and the sacrifice of the Rajput rulers. One of the most prominent features of the palace is the Sheesh Mahal which is covered with mirror mosaics. If a single candle is lit, the reflections of the candlelight would make it seem like a thousand glittering stars. Here you can immerse yourself into a couple of activities, like watching puppet shows, enjoying meals inside various restaurants, shopping for handicrafts, viewing the entire city from above and taking a stroll around the fort.

Hawa Mahal

Hawa mahal Pink City

Jaipur’s most fascinating structure is this 5 storeyed building. Hawa Mahal or the Wind Palace faces the main road and was built by the Rajput rulers for the Queen and the women in the Royal house so that they could view the processions going on in the streets, through its 953 tiny windows (Jharokhas), without having to step out. The façade of the palace is one of the most captured and recognizable monuments in this city. One can indulge in shopping at the local stores for souvenirs around the palace.

Rajasthan Polo Club

Post the sightseeing, the next stop was at the Rajasthan Polo Club to experience a horse polo match. It was the perfect afternoon for a match along with an extravagant lunch buffet. Our guests had a wonderful time at the field and were delighted to meet a few of the famous Polo players. There was also a fantastic piece played by the Indian Military Band. The evening was spent much leisurely, a few of the guests also went to Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazar for some quick shopping. The guests came back to their rooms after a blissful day to find a lovely gift hamper along with a fruit basket.

Chokhi Dhani Village

Chokhi-Dhani-Village

Before concluding the day, our guests also visited the Chokhi Dhani Village. This tiny hamlet inside the Chokhi Dhani Ethnic Resort boasts of age-old Rajasthani traditions and culture. When they stepped into the village, they were amazed to see the plethora of activities before them. Our guests were thrilled to find so many different things that could interest them. Right from camel rides, elephant rides, to watching folk dance of the various tribes of Rajasthan. Some enjoyed the Kathputali Ro Nach (the puppet show), whereas some got a Champi (head massage). There were many stalls with skill-based games like darts, bowling, rifle shooting, etc. that kept everyone entertained. There were also food stalls and authentic handicraft articles being sold.

Cocktail Dinner

Another fantastic day ended with a blast. The dance floor was lit with all our guests enjoying themselves and dancing until their feet hurt. The buffet spread ranged from authentic Rajasthani food to multiple continental options as well. The guests danced the night away and ate to their heart’s content. All of them were beaming with joy as the day came towards an end. When they reached their respective rooms, they were greeted with a box of the traditional Rajasthani sweet called Ghevar, made from a rich concoction of flour and sugar syrup. It was indeed the perfect way to end the trip.

Group-Tour

The next morning, rejuvenated, our clients were all set to leave Jaipur with fond memories and experience etched in their minds.
